MIT Graduation - Brand refresh
Update MIT’s graduation brand to a fresh, modern visual identity that represents who MIT is today. Using the Māori pātikitiki pattern, derived from the MIT Marae and currently used throughout our main MIT brand. Pātikitiki pattern means abundance, well-being of the individual, whānau and community, reflecting MIT’s core values. I included the area of study colours in the design to promote being connected and creating a sense of inclusion across all study areas. The combination of this pattern and the bright colours creates a sense of celebrating success. Visual references include the throwing of confetti, symbolising celebration, and the vibrant Pasifika culture – which can be seen in the neck lei’s they are gifted on graduation day.
